TRANSLOAD AIR FIELD OPERATIONS Focus is
on airfield operations in support of Stabilization Forces mission in
Bosnia-Herzegovina. Manages the activities of all Transload personnel
and assets. Ensures Army mission, safety and force protection is
complied with and is the senior Air Force representative to the Army at
Tuzla.
Airfield Operations -- Manages Air Traffic and Airfield Management
duties. Also acts as the primary liaison between the Army and Tuzla
International Airport. Controls all aircraft operations for Tuzla
AB. Develops, directs, and manages the Tuzla AB airfield to
support operations. Provides guidance at planning board meetings
concerning airfield lighting and future airfield construction. Provides
guidance and formulates plans to improve airfield to meet Air
Force/Army/Navy/Transload and NATO standards.
Weather -- Responsible for
weather forecasting, weather warning support and observations throughout
the entire Area Of Responsibility. The squadron has weather observers at
seven different sites with Bosnia-Herzegovina with a variety of
customers.
